But now, O Jehovah, thou art our Father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.
How thankful I am that God is our potter and that he knows exactly what he is doing! We had some interesting discussions as we worked on our clay projects over this past month. We thought about how some clay is dry and not very good to work with while other clay is soft, supple, and ready to take any shape molded into it. Some students found if they did not add water to their project their piece might have a crack or two. We compared that to times in our life when we "go through the fire" of the kiln. God has to allow us to be "fired" so that we can be stronger and useable by him. We discussed that if we were never fired we would be brittle and crack like unfired clay.
